At The Killer Brownie® Co., our team packages and prepares brownies for thousands of stores across North America. As an Assistant Packaging Manager, you will ensure our packaging processes are, and continue to be, efficient. In addition to managing the Packaging team, you’ll work with the Packaging Manager to build and develop the team and help us meet our daily goals. You’ll be our energizer, motivating the team to remain focused and efficient.
What you'll do:
Promote a safe work environment by example and adherence to safe work practices
Maintain an efficient and safe work environment
Maintain high performance, continuous improvement, and commitment to quality
Maintain accurate daily SQF documentation
Understand packaging instructions as documented on Killer Brownie® recipes and other related documents
Understand and use company ERP system (NetSuite)
Manage Packaging equipment, maintenance, and repairs
Manage Packaging areas — cleaning and maintenance
Manage existing cutting and packaging processes with an eye for improvement
Review production schedule with Packaging Manager and plans accordingly
Understand outgoing shipments of finished goods under tight time constraints
Conduct team huddles
Train, manage, and develop the Packaging team
Communicate regularly with all levels of management across KB
Work with the Packaging Manager to ensure daily production goals are met or exceeded
Assist with hiring and interviews
Assist with quarterly performance check-ins with Packaging team members

Able to work on a rotating schedule, including some weekends

Able to reach, bend, pull, and push
Able to receive forklift certifications
