Package & Freight Specialist - $15.75 per hour

Summary

To fulfill shipping and receiving requirements for all hotel guests and departments while maintaining an orderly package storeroom. Responsible for shipping, labeling, and processing all packages inbound and outbound. You will be responsible for all tracking and billing of hotel guest packages. Delivering all in-house hotel packages to management offices, and any other areas throughout the property. Respond to the immediate needs of all departments including running errands per the department’s request.

This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Process all inbound and outbound shipping and US Mail requests such as packages, letters, etc. for all hotel guests and departments.
• Ability to drive a company vehicle in a safe manner to pick up the daily US Mail as well as facilitate off property errands, deliveries, etc. as determined by management.
• Maintains inventory control, by inputting all shipping items into the hotel package tracking system.
• Daily reconciliation of all inbound packages that are charged through hotel lodging system.
• Ability to operate a postage machine and create shipping labels.
• Requires lifting and the ability to operate a pallet jack, hand cart, hand dolly, copy machine, printer, and general office equipment.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by management.
  
  

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Knowledge of typing, calculator, computers, prioritizing tasks, and ability to handle a heavy workload.
• Ability to complete work in a timely and efficient manner.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Must possess a valid Nevada driver's license.
• Proof of insurance
• Knowledge of local area using surface streets and freeway systems.
• Minimum age requirement is 18
