Rugby Architectural Building Products is a wholesale distributor of specialty building products, operating out of 29 branches throughout the United States. We primarily sell lumber products for our customers to make beautiful things and build happiness.
Position: We are growing! We are looking for an Outside Sales Representative, responsible for growing business and selling our product line in the Richmond area.

Position: We are growing! We are looking for an Outside Sales Representative, responsible for growing business and selling our product line in the Richmond area.

- Compensation will be commission based, and expected to be between $65,000 and $95,000.

- Sell our products to current customers in the region through a focus on customer service. In charge of sales throughout the territory, you will be rewarded based on your ability to manage sales throughout the region.
- Grow sales by increasing our customer base to new customers - as an Outside Sales Representative you will be expected to call on potential new customers throughout the region.
- Communicate needs of the customer with the branch to better ensure optimized product mix and increase future sales.
- Communicate with inside sales staff to ensure a coordinated and synchronized sales effort. Our Outside Sales Representatives lead the conversation and develop our business through sales growth and customer service.
- Accompany vendors’ sales representatives as needed, calling on appropriate customer accounts to satisfy vendor concerns.
- Interest in working for a company that values hard work and loyalty.
- You are competitive with a drive to win!
- You have a minimum of 2-4 years sales experience, ideally in an outside sales or territory sales representative role, and ideally in the construction sales industry.
- You have knowledge of millwork, and understand 2-step distribution.
- You can travel as needed throughout the territory.
- You have excellent customer service skills, with knowledge of Agility software a plus.
- As you will be driving a company vehicle, we consider this a Safety Sensitive position, subject to routine drug screening.
