Opex Manager

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Opex Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving operational improvements and implementing sustainable enhancements. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying training and certification candidates to support ongoing projects, collaborating with various teams to ensure improvement opportunities are identified, prioritized, and implemented. This role requires regular updates on progress, issues, and achievements to site leadership. This position is located at our Raleigh, NC site.

YOUR ROLE:

As a Opex Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Identifying and prioritizing opportunities for improved efficiency, higher yield, and waste reduction that deliver value to the business using diagnostic tools in.
• Creating future state implementation plans and implementing sustainable cost savings projects.
• Managing multiple Performance Excellence projects simultaneously.
• Ensuring adequate resources are identified and assigned to prioritized projects.
• Collaborating with finance to validate and track the business value of projects.
• Sharing best practices with other sites.
• Collaborating with the Central Performance Excellence lead to identify and assign resources to projects that drive business value.
• Ensuring that the Diagnostic, Design, and Implementation tools are consistently utilized to identify and implement improvement projects.
• Ensuring that improvements in efficiency are sustained post-implementation and that continuous improvements targets are in place and achieved.
• Leading by example, instilling skillsets and mindsets across the site to drive towards a continuous improvement culture. Coaches and mentors site personnel accordingly. 

YOUR BACKGROUND:

Education

• B.S. or B.A in a technical discipline is required/preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years in pharmaceutical manufacturing with cGMP requirements.

Skills/Competencies

• Lean Six Sigma Certification is preferred.
• Demonstrated record of delivering transformational operational improvements.
• Exceptional leadership skills with the proven ability to lead and drive change, even in times of uncertainty.
• Strong practitioner in collaboration, inclusion, and coaching.
• Strong Communication skills and ability to manage messaging based on the audience.
• Strong business acumen including business case development.
• Project Management skills including experience in managing multi-faceted projects across a diverse set of processes and organizations.

The Opex Manager will functionally report to a member of the Site Leadership Team or the Plant Manager. The Opex Manager will interface with site management to align resources, ensure alignment on objectives, and resolve issues. We look forward to welcoming you to our team!
