Morgan Stanley at Work is a division within Morgan Stanley Wealth Management comprised of Retirement & Nonqualified Deferred Compensation Solutions, Shareworks by Morgan Stanley Equity Compensation, and Financial Wellness. Our division offers in-depth knowledge and resources focused on providing a full range of solutions that help address various institutional and employee financial challenges and complexities. This business area is also where some of the biggest acquisitions internal to financial services are housed (ex: E*Trade, Solium) and hence, is a key growth area for the Firm.

The Senior Onboarding Manager is the primary Client point of contact after the pre-implementation process in line with our service segmentation model. Once assigned, the Sr. OM is responsible for leading the implementation including project management, technical execution, and overall exceptional level of customer satisfaction through implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scope, create, & maintain client Project Charter for onboarding implementation
  • Execute on the client engagement playbook with an aim to deliver an exceptional client experience overall
  • Manage gap data by setting up statement of work (if required), collecting, & uploading data
  • Determine appropriate level of SPI team resourcing for each client engagement
  • Execute data loading and reconciliation processes within the SW platform
  • Design and configure participant facing user experience within the SW platform
  • Scope and execute corporate actions for all Global Private Market clients
  • Act as oversight, escalation, and SME resource for Implementation Managers
  • Lead in the development and training of new employees

Additional Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact and technical resource for the client throughout the implementation process from project assignment to go-live
  • (for strategic accounts) Host introductory calls to guide clients through data templates and check-in with clients and support them in completing templates
  • Lead alignment call to discuss implementation timeline, requirements, project status, expected tasks required for client, & define client deliverables
  • Deliver a highly engaged and informed CX journey for the client through their implementation phase resulting in delighted and referenceable clients
  • Conduct user acceptance testing with the client to ensure optimization of the platform for admins and participants
  • Conduct portal walkthroughs with clients to confirm grant agreements and stock certificates



  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in a client facing role
  • An advanced understanding of equity and employee benefit plans is a plus
  • Ability to function strategically by seeing the big picture vision & work with others across the enterprise
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and engaging presentation delivery skills
  • Demonstrated client and project management skills including ability to create and maintain project plans

Expected base pay rates for the role sitting in San Francisco will be between $85,000 and $135,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
