We are growing in the Alabama area and looking to add a RN OASIS Clinical Documentation Manager to our team. As a RN OASIS Clinical Documentation Manager, you will be responsible for home health clinical services in-house with a focus on OASIS pre-review, review and clinical documentation oversight.
Role Description
The RN OASIS Clinical Documentation Manager assists the Administrator with the supervision of home health services to patients in accordance with physician orders and strives to provide the highest quality of care. The RN OASIS Clinical Documentation Manager is responsible for the review of the individual patient medical record/Plan of Care for compliance with Medicare/Medicaid/Managed Care regulations and company policies, making recommendations for improvements.
The position facilitates recommendations and modifications to clinical documentation through concurrent interaction with physicians, verbally and electronically, and other members of the health care team to ensure a complete medical record/Plan of Care is in place to support individual outcomes-based care plans, and timely coding and OASIS submission guidelines.
The RN OASIS Clinical Documentation Manager is always available during operating hours or appoints a similarly qualified alternate and participates in all activities relevant to professional services furnished, including the development of qualifications and assignment of personnel.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse - graduate of an approved school of professional nursing and currently licensed in the state(s) in which practicing
Minimum of (5) years’ experience in nursing with (2) years’ experience in home health required
Knowledge of Medicare regulations related to documentation and clinical outcomes management for home health
Familiar with ICD-10 codes preferred
Acceptance of philosophy and goals of Agency
Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment
Proficient in organization, planning and execution to ensure quality and productivity in work effort
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact in a positive fashion with clinical team members, physicians, and other company employees
Basic computer skills and willing to learn new software programs, experience with Electronic Medical Records and Microsoft Outlook preferred
