Your Mission: To instruct Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) students in the didactic, skills lab, and clinical arenas. Providing a quality education for program students and performing instructional-related duties and responsibilities in accordance with the philosophy, mission, policies and procedures of the college and the nursing program. Serving as a teacher, mentor and facilitator of learning. Duties and Responsibilities: Teaches assigned Nursing Assistant courses and maintains written instructional standards; facilitates instruction using alternative delivery methods as needed; Informs students in writing of instructional standards; Participates in the assessment of student learning outcomes.; Establishes, maintains and submits accurate student and instructional records in a timely manner; Collaborates in the development of new courses, curriculum, instructional materials, and evaluation tools; Assists with the preparation of course materials and curriculum updates; Plans, selects, prepares and implements appropriate active learning activities to meet all course competencies; Prepares, and/or selects and utilizes reliable and valid formative and summative in-class assessment tools/techniques to measure students' achievement of course competencies; Delivers instruction using active learning methods which accommodate different learning styles; Provides guidance and advice to students regarding course progress, program areas, or other academic concerns; Reviews and revises as necessary delivery methods, instructional materials, learning activities, and assessment tools.; Analyzes CNA program effectiveness emphasizing a culture of continuous improvement; Applies and maintains standards of quality operating methods, processes, systems, and procedures; Implements changes as necessary to maintain a successful CNA program; Integrates knowledge of industry trends and professional training to continuously improve program quality; Maintains records in compliance with State Board of Nursing regulations and statutes governing Nursing Assistant education.
