Description
Position Title: Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Technician
Location: Houston, TX
Position Description
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the NDT Technician will be responsible for setting up and calibrating testing equipment in compliance with instructions, conducting material tests, interpreting results, and generating reports of findings in compliance with client requirements.
Travel to client locations in the Houston, TX area on an as needed contract basis. This position is for local Houston, TX candidates only, no per diem.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the NDT Technician will be responsible for setting up and calibrating testing equipment in compliance with instructions, conducting material tests, interpreting results, and generating reports of findings in compliance with client requirements.
Travel to client locations in the Houston, TX area on an as needed contract basis. This position is for local Houston, TX candidates only, no per diem.
Essential Functions
- Perform inspections, interpret indications, and report results per company requirements.
- Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
- Conduct NDT tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection.
- Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations and client requirements.
Qualifications:
- Level II ASNT 9712 Certification for Magnetic Particle and Liquid Penetrant methods or equivalent as per ISO 9712:2021 Non-destructive testing
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills
- Diligent with an analytical mind, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently at client’s facility.
- Any combination of certification, education and/or experience that has provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for acceptable job performance in accordance with ISO 9712:2021 Non-destructive testing – Qualification and certification of NDT personnel.
- Experience utilizing Microsoft Suite of products including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.
- Able to travel in the Houston, Texas area.
- Working conditions are in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
- When at client location, frequent standing, and walking. In addition, bodily mobility to bend, crouch or climb for prolonged periods of time.
