The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary
The School of Nursing is looking to hire a Non- Student Short Term Casual to assist (in-office and remotely) with nationwide research studies exploring infection prevention and control in post-acute care settings. The candidate will work with a team of researchers at the Center for Health Policy at Columbia University School of Nursing.
Responsibilities
Duties will include:
Compiling data from national, state and local COVID-19 policy databases.
Conducting literature searches and systematic reviews in Covidence.
Participating in recruitment activities including:
Verifying contact information for nursing homes and home health agencies and preparing mailings.
Recruiting nursing homes and home health agencies through phone calls and emails.
Providing assistance with conference presentations and posters:
Formatting posters according to conference instructions.
Inputting data into tables and generating graphs for posters and PowerPoint presentations.
Providing assistance with manuscript publishing and grant writing:
Formatting according to author and grant guidelines.
Building EndNote files for manuscripts and grants.
This is a grant-funded position and continued employment is contingent upon the grant.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor's degree.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work well in a team.
Coursework, specialization or work experience in health policy, public health law, or health/healthcare law. Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access) and EndNote.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous research experience is desired.
