New Product Development Integration Specialist (NPD)

In the role of an NPD Integration Specialist, you will be managing the creation, development, and successful implementation of new processes within the New Product Development (NPD) Department. This position includes many essential components necessary for successful and efficient manufacturing, and as such, shares full responsibility for the final product delivered to the customer. The successful candidate must be able to balance multiple projects at one time while maintaining the same level of quality across each program.

Performance skills will be based on execution of work, ability to meet projected timelines and budgetary commitments, ability to maintain expected levels of quality and control, communication, continual improvement, and the ability to work in a team environment and successfully coordinate the operations of multiple departments to achieve success.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily meetings and drive strong communication of project updates.
  • Assist the New Product Development team in project activities/deliverables across all internal departments/functional groups.
  • Support development and continuous monitoring of department metrics.
  • Internal direction to team members from the observations made by reviewing department metrics.
  • Foster teamwork while contributing to cross-functional project teams.
  • Support continuous improvement activities of validation, project management and other ISO and company processes and procedures.
  • Evaluate existing process flow of internal processes, and drive process improvements to enhance quality, safety, customer satisfaction, and cost efficiencies.
  • Create work instructions and user guides for new and currently undefined processes within the NPD cycle.
  • Support coordination of customer meetings and onsite visits.
  • Act in accordance with ISO and other regulatory requirements, and company procedures.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Scheduling and Document Control departments to identify gaps and opportunities for process standardization and improvements between business areas.
  • Work order generation for submitted Test Plans, including BOM substitutions.
  • Develop statistical or other business metric data analysis
  • Experience using IQMS or other similar ERP systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and leadership qualities with the ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be comfortable working on computers and learn IQMS.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for internal and external customers.
  • The ability to follow oral and written instructions and to understand, speak and read English Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Teams.
  • Strong capabilities within MS Word for formatting and developing forms and templates.
  • Strong capabilities within MS Excel in creating formulas and pivot tables.
  • Must be proficient in simple data analysis techniques, primarily using MS Excel.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Must be a self-starter, able to work with minimum supervision.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Formal lean manufacturing, six sigma green belt, or change management training. Experience with formal change management tools and processes.
  • Experience within the medical device industry.
  • Able to interpret drawings and bills of materials.
  • Previous exposure to database generation, application design, and/or basic programming (i.e. Visual Basic)

ADA Requirements:

  • Typically sits, grasps items, and performs keyboarding for frequent operation of a computer.
  • Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about occasionally.
  • Lift, move or otherwise transfer items up to 30 lbs. occasionally.
  • Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, and hearing.
  • Occasional exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards.
  • Travel by air or car occasionally
  • Ability to work for extended periods sitting and looking at computer while completing repetitive motions to include substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

Annual Salary Range $70,000 - $90,000
