Job Title: Network Engineer

Location: Albany, NY (Hybrid)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement network solutions based on business requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain network performance, availability, and security.
  • Configure and support network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues in a timely manner.
  • Perform network upgrades and patches as necessary.
  • Ensure network security by implementing appropriate measures and monitoring for potential threats.
  • Create and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and policies.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to support various IT projects and initiatives.
  • Stay current with new networking technologies and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in network engineering.
  • Proficiency with network hardware and software, including Cisco, Juniper, and other major vendors.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF).
  • Experience with network security practices and technologies (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).
  • Knowledge of network monitoring and management tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
