Your Opportunity as National Account Manager, Kroger (US Retail Sales-Pet Team)
You will be the Sales lead for the Kroger Pet strategic business with goals to drive profitable sales growth for both Smucker & Kroger.
Location: Candidates must reside within one of the following areas for consideration: Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area (within 1 hour of major airport)
Work Arrangements: Working from home office and up to 15% expected travel

In This Role You Will
Business Management
- Build and maintain relationships within Kroger.
- Build & maintain relationship with all internal constituents at J.M. Smucker
- Develop strategies to drive brand/category growth and achieve or exceed sales/profit goals
- Own & lead negotiation for Joint Business Planning, CPI, 3CM, new items, key initiatives, etc.
- Influence key stakeholders to implement solutions through fact-based presentations that deliver results that are beneficial for both companies
- Support and partner with Supply Chain team to drive solutions at Kroger
- Grow partnership between customer and internal cross-functional teams to drive innovation and business opportunities
- Execute all agreed to programming with customer to include, Kroger forms, item setup/ maintenance, online content, logistics and inventory management, etc.
- Understand retailer omnichannel marketplace and brand growth opportunities
- Own annual business plans & Kroger Joint Business Planning
- Perform in-depth analysis of sales and profit components, including merchandising, promotional and supply chain opportunities
- Work with syndicated/other data sources to manage and inform strategic and tactical Trade plans
- Manage internal sales system (promotions, deductions, forecast, etc)
- Effectively manage trade budget with accuracy and timely visibility
- Forecast monthly and quarterly sales and communicate internally for production planning
- Communication and alignment with Sales Director on growth opportunities
- Ad-hoc financial and data analysis, including pre/post event analysis
- Drive business process improvements by working closely with cross-functional business partners and team
- Assist in development of business analyst(s) supporting the account

Minimum Requirements
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of CPG sales experience with direct national account HQ management experience
- Proven leader in negotiation success
- Strong technical skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Powerpoint)
- Experience managing trade budget within Trade Planning Software
- Proficient in use of syndicated data sources (IRI/Nielsen) and Kroger data sources Market 6 and Stratum
- Excellent oral & written communication skills (negotiation, selling, presentations, etc)
- Ability to travel up to 15% of work schedule
- Joint Business Planning experience
- Previous experience calling on Kroger
- Ability to relocate in the future for other growth opportunities with the Company
