Subject to Grant Funding?: No Essential Job Functions: 1. Provides ongoing protection, safety and security of works of art, property, people of NSU to ensure safety from dangers.

• Uses monitoring systems when making the rounds to ensure attentiveness to all conditions in and around the facility.
• Takes appropriate preventative or corrective action to ensure security of the facility. Marginal Job Functions: Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 1. Must possess excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of security cameras, monitors and recording devices.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others.
• Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues and supervisory staff at all levels
  
  

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

• Be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for a prolonged period of time- up to 8 hours.
• Must be able to sit for a prolonged period of time- up to 8 hours. Job Requirements: Required Certifications/Licensures: Florida D Security License Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Major (if required): Required Experience: One year of security, military, or police experience.
