As a Math Tutor, you’ll be placed at a local school where you’ll help students in kindergarten through third grade to become better readers. Every day, you’ll meet with students small groups to provide extra practice and build skills. With training and on-site coaching, we’ll prepare you to help kids succeed. Students make the most progress when you are there, so our tutors serve during school hours and are needed for the entire school year. We are currently recruiting tutors for the 2024-2025 school year, with the option of beginning in August, October or January.

Member Duties : The K-3 Math Tutor is placed at an elementary school to provide supplemental practice to children in Kindergarten through third grade to develop their math skills. The tutor will use scripted, evidence-based math strategies as guided by their coaches and will conduct assessments to ensure each student is on track to reach proficiency in math, based on their grade level. This is an AmeriCorps service member position with the AmeriCorps program, Math Corps.
