Become an integral part of Theory. We are looking for an experienced Merchant to join our Outlet Merchandising team.


Responsibilities:

● Run and manage all weekly DTC reports (Best Seller Report, Sell Through Report, Buyers Recap, Weekly Top 10, Sale vs. FP Recap, markdowns, postmortem data, etc.)

● Manage all tools and working documents for retail merchandising and ensure data is up to date (buy sheets, class sheets, order maintenance, Hindsight, store feedback, etc.)

● Support the development, execution, and communication of seasonal assortment and investment strategy throughout the product lifecycle. Starting with line plan, sketch review, fabric review, buy strategy, investment recaps, visual merchandising strategy, store signage, retail events, product marketing requests, product performance analysis, reacting to business trends by door, store feedback, hindsight analysis, product training, etc.)

● Provide day-to-day merchandising support needed to grow designated division successfully.

● Support the Director of Merch in building out seasonal assortment strategies by door and classification.

● Partner with the Design, production, and Tech teams on product development to meet assortment goals, IMU targets, and Margin goals for the division

● Generate and distribute weekly and monthly sales reports; analyze historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities by department and class.

● Develop and maintain effective communication with planning, allocation, marketing, store teams, design, eCommerce, production, and global merchandising.

● Responsible for accurately entering in-season orders into Blue Cherry, maintaining the buy sheet, and communicating necessary changes to the team and production team.

● Responsible for creating line sheets and assortment grids to show future assortments.

● Assist in creating product training materials and support in executing training seminars in stores.

● Manage samples during key milestone meetings as well as in-season presentations.

● Plan and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.


Qualifications:

● 3-5 years of Retail Buying and Merchandising experience required

● Strong analytical skills and understanding of retail math

● Advanced Excel experience

● Strong organizational skills

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks while meeting tight deadlines

● Must demonstrate a high level of initiative and resourcefulness, be a solution seeker, and make practical decisions

● Ability to quickly learn internal systems and additional software applications


Salary range: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00*
