We are seeking two Medical Laboratory Assistants to join our Cytology Lab team at the Center for Pathology and Laboratory Medicine! 

You Are: 

• An effective communicator, capable of resolving how best to reach different audiences 
• Flexible in your approach and demeanor in order to align with the shifting demands of evolving circumstances 
• Adept at crafting partnerships and working collaboratively to meet shared objectives and goals 
• Very comfortable working in a fast-paced environment 

You Will: 

• Review requisitions and order entry orders to verify the accuracy of corresponding specimens, and enter required data into the computer 
• Prepare specimens for in-house testing or send out to reference laboratories for testing using the laboratory information system 
• Maintain a complete, accurate, and organized system to communicate reference laboratories’ results according to laboratory guidelines to clinicians
• Maintain an organized and secure supply area to ensure easy access to supplies 
• Contribute to the upkeep and safety of the laboratory and assure a clean, safe, adequately supplied work area 

You Have: 

• High school diploma/GED + 1-2 years of confirmed experience 
• Strong digital literacy in Word and Excel 
• Excellent information leadership skills to communicate, explain, interpret, share, and present information to laboratory and hospital staff 

Hours:

• Monday - Friday, 2:30pm - 10:30pm with flexibility
• Monday - Friday, 12pm - 8pm
