This is an onsite position no remote work is available.
Accountable for the conversion of diagnoses and treatment procedures into codes using an international classification of diseases. Requires skill in the sequencing of diagnoses/procedures by coding guidelines. Ensures that records are coded in an accurate and timely manner.
Job Requirements
High School graduate or equivalent.
1 or more years of previous hospital experience as a Coder preferred.
Knowledge of diagnoses/procedures by ICD-9-CM coding principles for acute care facilities.
Ability to work with physicians collaboratively.
