The Billing Tech II plays a crucial role in executing revenue cycle workflows tailored to meet federal, state, and payer-specific requirements. This position ensures optimal revenue collection while delivering exceptional customer service and fostering strong relationships to enhance Member confidence in our team and organization.
Job Responsibilities
Execute customer-specific revenue cycle workflows, adhering to coding requirements, collection regulations, and payer guidelines to ensure efficient collections.
Access federal, state, and payer websites for necessary revenue cycle tasks.
Participate in training programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
Research and analyze coding and billing requirements to maintain compliance.
Strive to meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
Collaborate cross-functionally within the organization to meet Member needs and uphold organizational goals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Members and internal stakeholders to drive positive experiences and effective solutions.
Actively participate in committees and workgroups as required.
Analyze workflows to establish best practices and stay current with healthcare regulatory updates.
Serve as a mentor and resource for junior team members.
Position Type/Expected Hours
This is a full-time remote position with typical hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required based on job demands, with minimal travel expectations (5-10 days per year).
Required Education And Experience
Minimum of 2 years of billing experience.
Proficiency with clearinghouses and healthcare portals.
Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Experience with NextGen EPM/EDR or similar systems.
Highly Desired Education And Experience
Experience with FQHC billing.
Familiarity with NextGen EPM, EDR, and/or Optical systems.
Preferred Education And Experience
Proficiency in MS Excel.
Experience in dental or behavioral health billing.
Telecommuting And Technical Requirements
This is a fully remote role requiring access to:
Cable or Fiber Internet Service.
Minimum download speed of 20Mbps and upload speed of 5Mbps.
