Medical Biller - Remote | WFH

Are you a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller looking for a flexible, remote, part-time position? We're seeking someone with strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and a deep understanding of billing software and medical insurance policies. If you excel in both written and verbal communication and can effectively assist patients throughout the billing process, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

Generate Revenue: Arrange payments, collect accounts, and monitor delinquent accounts.

Collect Delinquent Accounts: Establish payment arrangements with patients, monitor payments, and follow up on lapses.

Utilize Collection Agencies: Evaluate and select collection agencies, determine the appropriateness of pursuing legal remedies, and testify in court when necessary.

Maintain Medicare Bad-Debt Cost Report: Ensure accurate and timely reporting of Medicare bad debts.

Secure Outstanding Balance Payments: Manage outstanding balance payments for employee care.

Requirements And Skills

Proven work experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role.

Solid understanding of billing software and electronic medical records.

Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Outstanding problem-solving and organizational abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Medicare and 1st Coast billing.

Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
