Are you a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller looking for a flexible, remote, part-time position? We're seeking someone with strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and a deep understanding of billing software and medical insurance policies. Responsibilities
Generate Revenue: Arrange payments, collect accounts, and monitor delinquent accounts.
Collect Delinquent Accounts: Establish payment arrangements with patients, monitor payments, and follow up on lapses.
Utilize Collection Agencies: Evaluate and select collection agencies, determine the appropriateness of pursuing legal remedies, and testify in court when necessary.
Maintain Medicare Bad-Debt Cost Report: Ensure accurate and timely reporting of Medicare bad debts.
Proven work experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role.
Solid understanding of billing software and electronic medical records.
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Outstanding problem-solving and organizational abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Medicare and 1st Coast billing.
Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
