The Role:

We are seeking a Materials Quality Program Manager to join our Materials Quality Engineering team, reporting to the Materials Solutions divisional manager. This position will ideally be based at our site in Round Rock, TX. There is hybrid flexibility in this role, as long as the new hire can be onsite 3 days a week, and travel occasionally to be onsite at our Burnet, TX site.


The new hire in this role will provide NPI (New Product Introduction) and Customer Program Management support to the Global Materials Quality Engineering team, with an emphasis on top business growth initiatives. They can look forward to being an integral part of the team in our efforts to accelerate time to market for products while maintaining robust supplier quality and supporting customer programs.


What You'll Do:

  • Develop, implement, and manage new programs to drive strategic initiatives for Materials Quality Engineering group.
  • Meet and facilitate decision-making with stakeholders on a regular basis to ensure clear and transparent communication regarding project issues
  • Produce complete, accurate, and timely reporting of program and project statuses throughout their life cycles
  • Coordinate closely with other Divisional MQE Program Managers, Product Managers, Materials Quality Engineers, R&D, Analytical teams, sourcing team and Customer Facing Team to drive supplier quality initiatives and NPI activities from day one.
  • Implement Supplier Continuous Improvement (CI), choose capable suppliers, define effective metrology, and have clear understanding of the needs and gaps of supplier, plant, and customers.
  • Manage divisional Accolade stage gate responsibilities and coordinate appropriate MQE team members for completion of open NPI tasks.
  • Develop and manage a raw material request program for global teams through close interaction with R&D, Procurement Center of Excellence and Sourcing teams.
  • Identify gaps in programs that are slowing time to market or preventing implementation of robust supply chain; report back to management with potential solutions and drive corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with global team to identify at-risk raw materials during NPD stage; identify and implement risk mitigation options.
  • Lead and coordinate documentation gathering for NPI gate transition meetings.
  • Design, develop and implement visual dashboards using tools such as Power BI to monitor and drive program goals. Develop action plans aimed at customer expectations for raw materials to support advancing industry needs.
  • Act as regional expert on quality systems and documentation to support supplier management system audits.
  • Act as central point of contact between customer facing team and MQE groups for audits and customer surveys.
  • Attend regional audits either virtually or in person to provide a harmonized voice. Report out on OFIs or CARs following audits and drive corrective action implementation


What We Seek:

  • 8-10+ years experience managing cross-functional programs or projects in a Chemical or Materials manufacturing environment
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical or Materials Engineering.
  • Ability to identify and understand the relevant business drivers and translate them in actionable operational activities.
  • Ability to apply statistics to seize opportunities, including SPC/SQC, Six Sigma, Measurement System Analysis, Analytical Methods, and Metrology.
  • Capability to build relationships, lead and motivate teams and drive activity through a balance of influence and inspiration.
  • Ability to communicate concisely and clearly, both verbally and in writing, when interacting with internal stakeholders, front-line suppliers, and customers.
  • Experience with implementing Quality Management Systems to support business growth.
  • Capability to lead and drive cross functional teams to achieve project goals within a set of constraints.
  • Significant experience and knowledge with Office 365 applications such as Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, Visio, Project, Word, Power Point.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools (eg. Six Sigma, ISO standards).
  • Up to 5% travel to other internal sites outside of Texas as needed


Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

  • A Master's Degree, PHD, and/or MBA
  • Quality Management Systems training
  • Experience within the semiconductor industry
  • A PMP Certification
