The Material Control Engineer creates, manages and follows Engineering Change Orders ( ECO) through to completion. Manages material usage, stock and obsolescence under supervision of the department manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Manage the evaluation and screening of parts for cost reduction.
Manage material stock in house and at CM's to avoid new product launch delays.
Manage, execute and track Engineering Change Orders.
Manage obsolete parts in house and at the CM's.
Manage parts for product development. Sample procurement and tracking. Pilot run deployment.

3+ years of experience with SAP, ER's and material management.

Education
Bachelor's Degree BA/BS/BFA/BSA from a four-year college or university is required, plus additional related experience, training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex business, government and technical documents in English. Must have the capability to effectively respond to the most sensitive inquiries and/or complaints made by others. Must be able to write speeches and articles using original and/or innovative styles or techniques. It is imperative to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial and/or complex topics to top management, and/or public groups.
Mathematical Skills
Must have an advanced understanding of mathematical concepts including but not limited to probability, statistical inference, fundamentals of plane and solid geometry, trigonometry, and/or calculus.
Reasoning Ability
Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Must be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions such as mathematical and/or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
