TITLE: Marketing Director
DEPARTMENT: Resource Development
REPORTS TO: VP of Resource Development
STATUS: Full-time, Salaried, Exempt
Position Summary
Responsible for planning, development, and implementation of all of the Organization's marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal.
Essential Functions
Will be required to attend and photograph the following Club events

Position Summary
Responsible for planning, development, and implementation of all of the Organization's marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal.
Essential Functions
- Establish and implement an annual integrated marketing communications plan for the organization using traditional and digital channels.
- Own and schedule all email communications for the organization, including copy, scheduling, testing, and database management.
- Keep database groups clean and up to date with the latest school site, donor, and board data.
- Control all websites for BGCTM and Early Learning Centers (WordPress Platform).
- Ensuring positive website visits, website conversions, and top-ranking paid and organic Google rankings.
- Keep all sites updated with the latest program, location, event, and fundraising information.
- Create engaging social media content for BGCTM, youth and teen focus, and Early Learning Center social media pages. Quick, digestible video content will be a major focus.
- Develop copy for various marketing channels, ensuring consistent BGCTM brand voice.
- Manage public relations efforts, including press releases and media pitches, crisis communications.
- Evaluate and monitor all campaign performance continuously by analyzing key metrics and creating comprehensive reports.
- Serve as the sole communicator with our creative agency and together work to increase brand awareness, Club membership, event attendance, as well as donation campaign dollars through strategic and branded collateral.
- Manage relationships with external vendors to ensure high-quality and timely execution of marketing programs.
- Assist with resource development initiatives, campaigns and strategies, particularly in the individual giving sector.
- Research and facilitate quarterly digital newsletters by working with BGTCM staff to establish highlights and content.
- Order, manage, and maintain all BGCTM vehicle wrap and building signage.
- Develop internal and external communication flyers for Club initiatives and programming special events via the Canva or Adobe platform.
- Review the organization’s Community Sponsorship Book and refresh public-facing version on BGCTM.org as sponsorships are sold.
- Maintain contact with community and business leaders, schools, parents, and local residents to seek financial support and provide information regarding Club activities and needs.
- Continuously develop knowledge of best practices to market Club programs, services, and activities within the community.
- Responsible for keeping abreast of market changes and activities of the industry.
- Conduct market research and identify trends.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading trade publications.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives in accordance with departmental objectives.
- Create and manage the annual marketing department budget.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively with a diverse population, and represent BGCTM professionally to the community.
- Outstanding copywriting and proofreading abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and strict attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Must be a self-starter and able to move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines independently. Must have strong analytical skills to analyze metrics and create reports.
- Able to produce and provide data/reports in a timely manner.
- Able to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Able to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Knowledge of WordPress, Constant Contact, Adobe Suite: Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, preferred.
- Knowledge of Social Media platforms such as: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Flickr, YouTube, LinkedIn required.
- Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, e-mail, social media, and/or display advertising campaigns.
- Proficient in using various computer software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office and a wide variety of internet tools.
- After hire, will receive mandatory paid on-line and in-person training, including Safety Skills, CPR/First Aid, etc.
- After hire, will be registered with Boys and Girls Clubs of America.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in marketing.
- Must be able to perform duties which require walking, talking, hearing, standing, sitting, and/or bending for long periods of time. May occasionally be required to kneel, run and/or climb.
- Must be able to use hands and arms to enter data into the computer, use the telephone and other office equipment.
