The Operations Coordinator will assist various departments in their daily tasks. This will include coordinating with vendors, office communications/meetings, data entry, record keeping, purchasing, file management and other clerical duties. This person will be working in a Manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining and updating quotes and new part project tracker logs.
Assists with securing and analyzing quotations; negotiates prices and terms
Prepares and issues purchase orders, changes notices and communication with suppliers
Reviews inventory level to determine if material on hand is in sufficient quantity
Weekly reviews Vendor Open Order Report to expedite late product not received
Verifies supplier invoices to purchase orders and approves bills for payment
Maintains adequate supply of office materials and orders items when necessary
Performs data entry into Prince ERP system as required
Communicates effectively with team members at all levels of organization
Completes assigned tasks and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner
Additional responsibilities as assigned by General Manager
Required Skills / Attributes
Excellent attention to detail & organization skills
Ability to generate reports and business correspondences as needed.
Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, and all levels of the company
Excellent multitasking skills & ability to manage multiple projects
Computer literate (MS Office 365, Adobe, email)
Experience with MRP software, Epicor preferred
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
Independent & willing to take initiative
Strong work ethic & highly motivated
Education And Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
2+ years of relevant experience
2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing setting
Prior experience using ERP systems, Epicor preferred
Physical Job Requirements
Regularly required to sit, stand or walk the duration of shift, 8-10 hours.
Frequently required to talk or hear
Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach or bend
Regularly lift, push or pull up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision in which 20/20 vision or corrected vision to 20/20 vision is required
Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts
Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles resulting from metalworking coolants and oils
The noise level in the work environment is sometimes loud when working in the plant, in which hearing protection is required
