Manufacturing Operations Coordinator

Job Summary

The Operations Coordinator will assist various departments in their daily tasks. This will include coordinating with vendors, office communications/meetings, data entry, record keeping, purchasing, file management and other clerical duties. This person will be working in a Manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining and updating quotes and new part project tracker logs.
  • Assists with securing and analyzing quotations; negotiates prices and terms
  • Prepares and issues purchase orders, changes notices and communication with suppliers
  • Reviews inventory level to determine if material on hand is in sufficient quantity
  • Weekly reviews Vendor Open Order Report to expedite late product not received
  • Verifies supplier invoices to purchase orders and approves bills for payment
  • Maintains adequate supply of office materials and orders items when necessary
  • Performs data entry into Prince ERP system as required
  • Communicates effectively with team members at all levels of organization
  • Completes assigned tasks and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by General Manager


Required Skills / Attributes

  • Excellent attention to detail & organization skills
  • Ability to generate reports and business correspondences as needed.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, and all levels of the company
  • Excellent multitasking skills & ability to manage multiple projects
  • Computer literate (MS Office 365, Adobe, email)
  • Experience with MRP software, Epicor preferred
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
  • Independent & willing to take initiative
  • Strong work ethic & highly motivated


Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • 2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing setting
  • Prior experience using ERP systems, Epicor preferred


Physical Job Requirements

  • Regularly required to sit, stand or walk the duration of shift, 8-10 hours.
  • Frequently required to talk or hear
  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach or bend
  • Regularly lift, push or pull up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision in which 20/20 vision or corrected vision to 20/20 vision is required
  • Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts
  • Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles resulting from metalworking coolants and oils
  • The noise level in the work environment is sometimes loud when working in the plant, in which hearing protection is required
