What You Will Be Doing

As rapid pace of change transforms our lives, Albertsons Corporate is modernizing, embracing disruption, and forging into the future to meet market, customer, and competitive demands. Part of our L&D transformation is having dedicated Learning Partners (LP). Our LPs partner with business leaders and HRBPs to design a learning strategy that enables business objectives, raises the bar on existing and new programs and curricula, and collaborate with our instructional designers on course development.  

As the Tech and Engineering Learning Partner, you are passionate about developing others through various platforms and you are excited about the opportunity to create relevant, cutting-edge learning experiences through various technology platforms that help us catalyze an internal learning culture. You will combine an enterprise mindset with an instructional designer approach to disrupt learning within the Tech and Engineering organization.  

The position will be based in Boise, Idaho, or one of our main regional offices (Pleasanton CA, Dallas TX, or Phoenix, AZ).

Main Responsibilities

  • Strategy: Work with internal SMEs to design and execute an overall strategy for making the Tech and Engineering organization an engine of growth and capability development for the broader organization
  • Brand and Messaging: Use a proactive, data-and learner-centric approach to glean information. Conduct outreach and work to create brand and messaging that supports the culture change desired and measure results of efforts.
  • Learning and Development: Use adult learning principles to analyze, design, develop, and implement learning interventions and programs. Facilitate sessions and workshops as needed.
  • Consultation: Consult with business partners to determine the change management approach and learning solutions that support the associate lifecycle and areas of strategic importance to the organization. Work with instructional designers to design curriculum and other assets that support and develop our learners. Manage projects/requests with an agile product mindset.

The salary range is $82,900 to $107,680 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation Pay (accrued based on hours worked) or Flexible Time Of, paid holidays (9days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (pension and/or 401K eligibility). Associates in this position are also eligible for a quarterly bonus. 

We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree with at least 5-8 years in learning including learning communications, project management, instructional design, organizational performance/workplace learning, e-learning/learning technologies, measuring learning performance or equivalent work experience 
  • 5+ years' experience in training and development, organization development, analyzing business needs, technical writing skills, designing and delivering training interventions, and gathering feedback on effectiveness, and managing business or training projects 
  • Experience with and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools 
  • Experience with Oracle preferred 
  • Change management certification or designation desired 
  • Forward looking with a holistic approach 
  • Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics 
  • Problem solving and root-cause identification skills 
  • Able to work effectively at all levels of an organization 
  • Experience working in a multi-location business environment preferred 
  • Experience working in a call center environment preferred 
  • Communicate appropriately and effectively with all areas and levels of management 
  • Experience in determining and applying appropriate training methodologies and change management methodologies based on the project/need  
  • Experience working with SharePoint, Canva, Articulate Rise, Microsoft Office Suite, other learning and communication tools 
  • A strategic mindset and a “roll-up-your-sleeves” attitude. 
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and be adaptable as situations require. 
  • Knowledgeable about DEI&B practices and application in a business context. 
  • TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Up to 30%
