The Security manager is responsible for overseeing the safety and security of The Westin at the Woodlands and The Embassy at Hughes Landing. This role involves developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a secure environment.
Responsibilities
DUTIES OR FUNCTIONS
Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, protocols, and procedures.
Maintain and update property security program
Maintain and update property safety and security program.
Maintain high level of competency training in regard to perimeter/fire alarm panels.
Follow through on incident investigations and recommends corrective action.
Establish and maintain strict controls of departmental and property key access.
Ensure officers are kept current on new policies and procedures.
Follow up on all safety discrepancies from officers.
Assist in the evaluation of all incidents to determine the most effective course of action and the means necessary to eliminate the cause.
Evaluate reports to ensure maximum use of security personnel.
Investigate or assist in the investigation of any “sensitive nature” incidents.
Act as a member of the Emergency Response team and respond to major emergency/disaster.
Maintain a good working relationship with the Hotel’s General Manager to ensure that management is being kept informed in all areas.
Perform other job-related duties requested by management.

Qualifications
Must process a wide array of knowledge in security procedures, patrol and investigation techniques.
Must be flexible to work varying schedules including but not limited to weekends and nights.

Excellent interpersonal skills
Experience Required
Minimum of 3 years experience at supervisory level dealing in security.
Hotel experience in security highly desired.
EDUCATION
Associate degree in security-related field or an equivalent of related job experience
