Develop and execute the Direct to Consumer retail strategic plan to drive productivity and meet KLIM’s financial goals. Responsible for all retail direct channel expansion, site management of all KLIM’s B2C and B2B digital efforts including, marketing, production, platform development, customer experience and multichannel (Omnichannel) strategy. This role will be responsible for overseeing the growth of all key Digital Marketing channels that drive traffic to the site inclusive of Search (Paid & Natural), Social Media, Marketplace, Display, Email and SMS. The Manager of Retail Sales oversees the end-to-end management of the customer/channel strategies including identification, acquisition, engagement, and retention. This person is a key stakeholder of the customer-facing strategy and oversees customer insights with full-funnel ownership across our digital and retail channels and responsibility for revenue growth. This role requires successfully managing and navigating cross-functional efforts across merchandising, technology, planning, creative, product, marketing and finance.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Ownership and management of KLIM’s Retail Sales Channels and Digital Ecommerce business performance.
  • Establish seasonal revenue goals and KPIs that will be supported by the team and align with leadership objectives.
  • Develop strategies that will grow both topline and net revenue for Ecommerce and Retail direct sales and operate within a budget.
  • Work closely with cross department heads to collaborate brand/product focus.
  • Analyze current and projected ROIs on all initiatives to assist in long-term planning for the department and its multiple functions.
  • Evolve Klim’s D2C Sales Strategy encompassing Ecom, Marketplace, and Social platforms including current, closeout and specialty products
  • Create and oversee season direction/campaigns for D2C business
  • Manage employee groups based on season strategy and financial goals
  • Forecast product purchasing to support D2C channels
  • Use D2C platforms to drive Brand awareness and education
  • Evaluate emerging channels for use in support of overall D2C strategy
  • Partner with PLM regarding specialty product creation & positioning in support of D2C strategy, balancing impact on wholesale business & production resources
  • Create new channel development strategies to adjacent markets to include: Specialty shops, ASE programs, Corporate sales, Military, Government agencies, Holiday promotions, and Pop-up stores,
  • Initiate and drive for development, integration, and ongoing support of any new technical strategies or processes in relation to web page design and optimization, applications development, and search engine optimization.
  • Develop strategies as it relates to Internet marketing: Paid search, natural search, paid social, affiliates, portals, and corresponding financial measurement.
  • Experience using E-commerce promotional strategies and cadence that support a robust Wholesale channel without significant disruption.
  • Oversee plan for production rollout and operations procedures for all business and technology activities.
  • Oversee plans and policies to support the fast scaling online, digital, marketplace, social media and mobile business.
  • Lead and collaborate with Ecommerce/Marketplace and Digital Media to define the web analytics/marketing intelligence guidelines, as well as assessing KLIM’s E-commerce infrastructure to integrate new analytical tools for analysis and efficiency.
  • Direct migration of the online platform from current to future state.
  • Deep experience in user behavior insights: tracing and subsequent analysis of weblog tracking. Understanding and ability to leverage relationship marketing (direct marketing/onsite marketing).
  • Develop seasonal calendars for the Ecommerce and Digital Media department, mapping out the overall strategy for product offerings, pricing, online/mobile, social media marketing campaigns, etc. to further drive the company’s profitability and branding.
  • Own communication to both KLIM & Leadership with respect to the KLIM Retail and Ecommerce business.
  • Act as the key representative for KLIM in the cross-brand digital steering committee.
  • Continued adoption of KLIM’s dealer digital efforts and B2B platform support.

Education/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related discipline required.
  • Must have 10+ years of strategic Ecommerce management experience with a strong preference within Apparel and/or specialty retail, with the proven ability to develop and implement a successful Retail Direct & Ecommerce strategy is required
  • 2-4+ years management-level experience in some or all of the following areas is essential: online E-commerce, search engine optimization, online/mobile marketing, web analytics, web merchandising, pricing, market analysis, and consumer demand strategy, customer service, and Ecommerce order fulfillment and distribution/shipping.   • Highly analytical with knowledge and experience utilizing Web Analytics software (Google Analytics, CoreMetrics, etc.)
  • Preferred industry experience in retail consumer goods; Ecommerce focus is required
  • Must have SEO, SEM, CSE, display advertising, mobile applications experience, social media, marketplace
  • Understanding of brand and channel strategies
  • Strategic approach, sound business judgment, and entrepreneurial mindset are essential
  • Comprehensive understanding of business modeling, planning, budgeting, and online marketing
  • Thorough knowledge of emerging industry trends, competitors, distribution channels, and customer base
  • Proficient understanding of CRM solutions and practices
  • Experience with email service provider tools
  • Knowledge of most current digital technologies, trends and tools; interest and passion for employing digital marketing to advance business goals
  • Understanding of customer attitudinal and behavioral traits, sales trends, competitive threats, corporate brand strategy, industry trends, regulatory developments, campaign effectiveness and economic forecasts
  • Knowledge of marketing concepts and application using price, promotion, placement and product


Working Conditions

  • Fast-paced, dynamic culture working an in-office schedule based out of the Rigby, Idaho location (onsite 4-5 days/week).
