Job Responsibilities:
Spearhead and mentor a team of 5+ Applications Engineers, providing strategic direction and fostering a collaborative environment.
Actively participate in the engineering process, serving as a hands-on problem-solver and subject matter expert.
Conduct financial analysis and project management, ensuring profitability and adherence to gross margin targets.
Collaborate closely with sales teams during the concept and discovery phases, contributing to the development of Statements of Work (SOWs) and Request for Quotations (RFQs).
Leverage proficiency in Excel to create detailed project schedules and documentation.
Utilize Solidworks for design visualization, without direct involvement in the design process.
Engage with customers during site visits, representing the company's expertise and commitment to excellence.
Contribute to the development of automation solutions for industries such as automotive, consumer products, durable goods, and medical devices.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Engineering or Technical field.
5+ years of relevant experience, with a strong background in automation engineering and applications leadership roles.
Proven track record in managing and delivering profitable projects with a demonstrated ability to understand project profitability metrics.
Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to engineering challenges.
Proficiency in Excel for scheduling and documentation.
10-20% domestic travel required for customer site visits.
