Job Details

The Salesforce Marketing Localization team is hiring a Localization Editorial Lead to oversee a team of 5 Language Managers (Localization Editors) responsible for maintaining high-quality localization in multiple languages: German, French, Brazilian-Portuguese, Spanish, and Dutch.

The ideal candidate for this role is bilingual with fluency in English and native-level proficiency in any of the languages listed above. They should bring a strong background working with, or in localization teams, and language service providers. Additionally, the candidate should possess skills in team leadership and project management, demonstrating their ability to lead and oversee successful projects within a team setting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team of 5 Language Managers (Localization Editors) for German, French, Brazilian-Portuguese, Spanish, and Japanese, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality language localization
  • Maintain and manage ‌language glossaries and language style guides to retain language consistency and accuracy for Salesforce supported languages
  • Collaborate closely with the rest of the Marketing Localization team and other localization teams within Salesforce to measure and retain content translation quality and effective Translation Memory management
  • Partner with data scientists on the team to oversee the linguistic quality of Machine Translation, providing expertise and insights to improve translation algorithms and outputs
  • Drive strategic initiatives related to language quality, process improvements, and time to market
  • Analyze market feedback and performance data to continuously refine localization efforts, and partner with regional Salesforce marketers to capture and distribute Salesforce market requirements

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, Communication, or a related field — Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in localization, preferably marketing localization
  • Proven experience in language localization, translation, or linguistic project management
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team of Language Managers
  • Proficiency in one or more of these languages: German, French, Brazilian-Portuguese, Spanish, or Japanese
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Deep knowledge of various localization tools and platforms
  • Experience in Terminology and Translation Memory (TM) management
  • Understanding the concept of Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing within Localization
  • Experience in content optimization, SEO and SEM

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $121,800 to $167,400.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
