Manager I, Central Staffing (226 Days)

  • Develop and oversee staffing processes for incoming candidates to the district for auxiliary systems including background, certification and contracts.
  • Supervise the administration of criminal background checks and certification validation for incoming employees who hold certification/licensure requirements.
  • Serve as resource person to administrators and employees on certification issues, act as liaison with certification compliance team.
  • Consult with state and federal programs to ensure staffing functions are executed within regulations and guidelines set forth by the respective entities.
  • Attend various project development and process meetings or partnering sessions and assist in identifying methods to expedite the hiring process.
  • Research best practices and trends from other school districts and corporations to build efficient department staffing processes.
  • Support the leadership team of HCM to ensure the department is able to meet its hiring goals.
  • Using data, develop and oversee implementation of a staffing plan.
  • Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Five years of related experience, preferably education in an urban setting.
  • Experience leading and supervising other professionals.
  • Demonstrated achievement in previous work.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, including keen attention to detail and the ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Ability to proactively identify challenges and work to find solutions.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data in adherence to local, state and district regulations.
  • Ability to successfully complete tasks with minimum direction and supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written format.
  • Excellent computer skills with knowledge of MS Office Professional applications, Google, Taleo and Oracle.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
