Compass is a high impacting and innovative Health and Wellbeing Charity contracted to deliver community-based early intervention and prevention services for children, young people, and families. Having recently doubled in size, we are at the forefront of delivering highly advanced integrated models of care across a range of emotional health and wellbeing support needs including lifestyle behaviours.

Our contracts are commissioned through Integrated Care Boards and Local Authorities. Compass’ current service footprint is the Midlands, Yorkshire, Northwest, Lincolnshire, Lancashire, and London.

Through delivery, we bring national policy aims to life – drawing on our collective expertise and understanding of the interdependencies between health and wellbeing issues, and how to prevent or intervene earlier with greater impact. To support our exciting journey of growth, we have created a new post of Management Accountant who will act as a business partner supporting senior operations managers with financial decision making, preparing and presenting reports, also implementing strategies to ensure an organisation that is financial robust and efficient.

About You

You will be part of a values-driven and collaborative organisation, working within a talented Finance and Corporate Services Team. Reporting to the Finance and Corporate Services Director and deputising for him you will working closely on all management accountancy responsibilities. In addition you will lead on estates management as well as play a key role in managing the outsourced IT provision.

You will lead with a positive and supportive style and have a track record in building effective relationships with key stakeholders. With demonstrable leadership and interpersonal skills, you will inspire others to be successful through a collaborative, business partnership approach.

Educated to degree level or equivalent in accounting or finance you will be a Qualified Accountant with CCAB, that is, CCAEW, ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA or similar overseas qualification.

You will have substantive experience as a management accountant, Finance Manager/Finance business partner and will have extensive knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations. Proficiency in business management and accounting software, such as Accounts IQ, Sage 200, Zero or QuickBooks is also essential.

We are looking for a forward-thinking leader, with excellent analytical aptitude, exceptional attention to detail and first rate problem-solving skills.
