The Maintenance Worker Supervisor contributes to the mission of the Branch of Facilities Management by performing mixed duties of general maintenance on all office buildings, shops, residential dwellings, and all other buildings or grounds for which the Bureau is responsible for.The Maintenance Worker Supervisor's duties consist of, but are not limited to:

Managing facility operations and maintenance

CarpentryElectrical maintenance and repair

PlumbingBoiler maintenance

Grounds keeping

Roofing

Heating equipment maintenance

Responsible for making judgements in workload

Qualifications

This position is OPEN UNTIL FILLED and may be extended or closed prior to the current closing date. Applications will be reviewed every two weeks; the first cut-off date for applications is 10 business days from the opening date and every two weeks thereafter. This is a supervisory position. Under provision of the Civil Service Reform Act, first-time supervisors are required to serve a one year supervisory probationary period before their appointment becomes final. Those who do not satisfactorily complete this probationary period will be returned to positions of no lower grade and pay than those they occupied before assuming their supervisory assignment.
