Position Overview: As the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities within our new plastics manufacturing facility. You will lead a team of skilled technicians and coordinate closely with production and engineering departments to ensure optimal equipment performance, uptime, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs and schedules to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
  • Manage and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, providing leadership, guidance, and training as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular safety audits and promoting a culture of safety within the maintenance team.
  • Oversee equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications, collaborating with external contractors as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment histories, and spare parts inventory.
  • Analyze equipment performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and implement preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Budget management for maintenance activities, including cost control, forecasting, and procurement of necessary resources.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in maintenance and reliability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in maintenance management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastics or related industries.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team of maintenance technicians.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as proficiency in reading technical drawings and manuals.
  • Familiarity with maintenance management software systems for work order tracking and preventive maintenance scheduling.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA, EPA) and experience in promoting a safe work environment.
