Position Overview: As the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities within our new plastics manufacturing facility. You will lead a team of skilled technicians and coordinate closely with production and engineering departments to ensure optimal equipment performance, uptime, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs and schedules to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
Manage and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, providing leadership, guidance, and training as necessary.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular safety audits and promoting a culture of safety within the maintenance team.
Oversee equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications, collaborating with external contractors as needed.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment histories, and spare parts inventory.
Analyze equipment performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and implement preventive maintenance strategies.
Budget management for maintenance activities, including cost control, forecasting, and procurement of necessary resources.
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in maintenance and reliability.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
Proven experience (5+ years) in maintenance management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastics or related industries.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team of maintenance technicians.
Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as proficiency in reading technical drawings and manuals.
Familiarity with maintenance management software systems for work order tracking and preventive maintenance scheduling.
Knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA, EPA) and experience in promoting a safe work environment.
