Adecco Permanent Recruitment has partnered with a client in the Birmingham, AL area to recruit and hire a Maintenance Manager.
The Maintenance Manager will oversee all maintenance operations, ensuring equipment and facilities are in optimal working condition. The maintenance Manager will also be responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians, providing direction, guidance, coaching, and support.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Planning, coordinating, and executing maintenance functions to meet optimal production output.
- Leading the maintenance department, making sure all technicians are trained and qualified to perform tasks effectively and safely.
- Collaborating with production and engineering teams to schedule maintenance activities.
- Conducting regular inspections of machinery, identifying issues, and coordinating timely repairs and updates.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and implementing measures to promote a safe working environment.
- Tracking expenses and managing maintenance budgets, optimizing resources for cost-effective operations.
- Implementing maintenance and preventative programs to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency
- Identifying opportunities for improvements in cost efficiency, quality, operations, and safety.
- Creating and maintaining a reporting system to track the progress of projects and maintenance objectives, taking corrective actions when necessary.
- Utilizing data and analytics to assess equipment performance and recommend improvements.
- Maintaining a maintenance management system for work orders, spare parts, and equipment history.
- Addressing plant or equipment emergencies that may be outside regular working hours.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred. Associates or technical degree is required.
- 7+ years of experience in the Maintenance or Engineering field.
- 4+ years of experience managing/supervising maintenance, engineering, or project teams.
- Strong working knowledge of preventive/predictive maintenance strategies, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Budget management experience.
- Experience with manufacturing and maintenance tools/software
