Maintenance Manager

Adecco Permanent Recruitment has partnered with a client in the Birmingham, AL area to recruit and hire a Maintenance Manager.


The Maintenance Manager will oversee all maintenance operations, ensuring equipment and facilities are in optimal working condition. The maintenance Manager will also be responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians, providing direction, guidance, coaching, and support.



Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Planning, coordinating, and executing maintenance functions to meet optimal production output.
  • Leading the maintenance department, making sure all technicians are trained and qualified to perform tasks effectively and safely.
  • Collaborating with production and engineering teams to schedule maintenance activities.
  • Conducting regular inspections of machinery, identifying issues, and coordinating timely repairs and updates.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and implementing measures to promote a safe working environment.
  • Tracking expenses and managing maintenance budgets, optimizing resources for cost-effective operations.
  • Implementing maintenance and preventative programs to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency
  • Identifying opportunities for improvements in cost efficiency, quality, operations, and safety.
  • Creating and maintaining a reporting system to track the progress of projects and maintenance objectives, taking corrective actions when necessary.
  • Utilizing data and analytics to assess equipment performance and recommend improvements.
  • Maintaining a maintenance management system for work orders, spare parts, and equipment history.
  • Addressing plant or equipment emergencies that may be outside regular working hours.



Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred. Associates or technical degree is required.
  • 7+ years of experience in the Maintenance or Engineering field.
  • 4+ years of experience managing/supervising maintenance, engineering, or project teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of preventive/predictive maintenance strategies, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Experience with manufacturing and maintenance tools/software
