Assist with marketing and administrative activities at City of Seguin Main Street & CVB Department. Will assist in the promotion of Seguin businesses and events to tourists and locals through diverse mediums, greet visitors at the visitor center and track visitor data, and handle special projects for the department.
Time commitment: 25 hours per week for 20 weeks. Larger commitments can be arranged.
Compensation: This is a paid intern position and may earn course credit as determined by your school.
Work site: Work takes place primarily at the Seguin Visitor Center at 200 South Austin Street, Seguin, TX 78155.

Intern Responsibilities
Duties might include:
Maintain event postings on our website and update other web pages.
Post events on community events calendars.
Assist in writing press releases and mass communications.
Write and compile material for email blasts, blogs, and other marketing collateral.
Design fliers, ads and HTML emails.
Post updates on Facebook and other social media.
Organize files and photos.
Assist with organization and execution of special events.
Greet visitors and track visitor data.
Fulfill other duties as assigned.
Intern Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organization skills.
Proficiency using email, the Internet and Microsoft applications, Canva, and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suites applications.
Knowledge and experience with social media and marketing.
Ability to follow direction, be self-directed and also work well as a member of a team.
A strong interest in non-profit work and community service.
Available weekdays between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and some weekends and nights.
