LOGISTICS SPECIALIST

WE ARE SEEKING A LOGISTICS SPECIALIST

To serve in management position handing the warehousing, shipping and receiving operations for the company. Our client company is a dynamic company that fosters a great company culture, great benefits and a family oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Customer service skills: It is essential that they are customer focused - they must think and act from customer perspective
• Correct freight settlement documents to ensure the proper accruing of freight on a daily basis
• Supports the development and implementation of improved processes and systems and maintains master data
• Delivers on budget and targets within the framework. Ensures the Logistics performance targets are achieved
• Responsible for safe, efficient, and accurate delivery of material and equipment
• Maintain Operation of Copy Machines located in the Central Service Areas
• Independently manages material procurement via Bill of Material (BOM) for the assigned program
• Coordinate with in-house sales team to promote accurate and timely processing of orders for customers
• Administer and maintain inventory control program systems
  
  

Qualifications

• Quick learner, motivated to continuously develop, and grow
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
• Ability to comply with all Company implemented safety procedures
• Ability to identify new methods/processes, determine impact and develop implementation plan
• Maintain regular attendance for hours assigned
• College degree or 1+ years of related experience
• Key Experiences/Achievements
• Good organizational and time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Knowledge of basic mathematics and electronics
• Ability to manage multiple activities and cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment;
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Ability to use any equipment in a safe manner as it pertains to job;
• Familiarity with purchasing requirements
• 5+ years previous experience in logistics management or coordination
• Well-developed motivational and leadership skills
