McLane Global is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Production Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production and warehouse management, with a keen focus on driving efficiency improvements and optimizing operational processes.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and oversee day-to-day production activities within the warehouse, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and reduce costs without compromising quality or safety.
  • Lead, mentor, and train production staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production and warehouse operations, analyze performance data, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, procurement, and quality assurance, to coordinate production schedules and resolve any issues or bottlenecks that may arise.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, oversee inventory management processes, and conduct regular stock audits to minimize discrepancies and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Implement and enforce best practices for equipment maintenance, repair, and utilization to maximize uptime and minimize downtime.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in production and warehouse management, and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability among production staff, promoting open communication and collaboration to achieve common goals.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
  • All other duties as assigned.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, industrial engineering, or a related field preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in production supervision, preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of success in driving efficiency improvements, optimizing processes, and achieving measurable results.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or enterprise resource planning (ERP) software preferred.
  • Forklift certification and knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards related to warehouse operations are a plus.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is required.


WORKING CONDITIONS


  • Keyboarding - (Up to 8 hours per day) Entering text or data into a computer by means of a keyboard. Devices include a traditional keyboard, 10 keypads, a touch screen, and others.
  • Sitting/Standing - (Up to 8 hours per day) The ability to alternate between sitting and standing at a desk is present when a worker has the flexibility to choose between sitting or standing as needed when this need cannot be accommodated by scheduled breaks and/or lunch period.
  • CommunicationVerbally - (Up to 8 hours per day) Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to clients or the public and to convey detailed spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Lifting – May carry weight, lift boxes, weighing up to 20lbs across production lines or office space for various needs.
  • Walking – (Up to 8 hours per day) Frequently walking in/out of the warehouse.
