Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and applications in physical, virtual, and cloud environments
  • Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize efficiency and resource utilization
  • Diagnose and resolve complex system issues across various layers of the infrastructure
  • Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect systems and data from unauthorized access and vulnerabilities
  • Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting
  • Work closely with other IT team members to ensure seamless integration and support.
  • Report to office when required for tasks (hybrid / majority remote)
  • Participate in on-call rotation

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in Linux systems administration
    • Strong proficiency in Linux command line, shell scripting (Bash, Python, etc.), and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, etc.)
    • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, etc.)
    • 3+ experience with cloud infrastructure and services such as AWS EC2, S3, and RDS
    • Familiarity with containerization technologies
    • Experience with monitoring and logging tools
  • Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
