Purpose
The Legal Administrative Assistant provides high-level support to the General Counsel. S/he coordinates and supports the work of the Office of the General Counsel team in coordination with other HQ departments and local and regional offices through project management, administration, and communications.
CWS seeks a motivated, detail-oriented person with strong organization and communication skills, good judgement, exercises discretion, and is a team player. This position accomplishes this through a respectful, constructive, and energetic style that complements the other members of the team and is guided by the strategic and operational objectives of CWS.
Responsibilities
Provide case management in support of all legal and compliance matters.
Manage special projects through communications, administration, and digital information management.
Organize and coordinate staff wide trainings as needed.
Provide administrative support, such as logistics for meetings, events, and travel as needed.
Maintain shared calendars and organize team and cross-departmental meetings.
Administer and maintain departmental Sharepoint site, including a centralized document storage system.
Research best practice and industry standards.
Assist with the annual departmental budgeting process.
Create a system for tracking and collecting departmental metrics and reporting.
Create PowerPoint presentations and resource materials in support of Office of General Counsel leadership, trainings and outreach and advocacy programs.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is required.
Experience And Skills
Minimum of 5 years of work experience in legal sector case management, administration, and/or project management
Strong independent thinking skills with ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimum supervision
Strong organizational skills with demonstrated experience working on multiple projects simultaneously
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationship within the organization and externally
Excellent administrative, and customer service skills
Ability to act with discretion and maintain confidentiality
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to draft correspondences and other communication with minimum direction
Professional maturity and strong decision-making skills
Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
Proficiency and experience administering Microsoft SharePoint sites
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Power point)
