Reputable law firm in Boston seeks Legal Assistant to join their litigation group. 1+ years' legal experience preferred. Will see internship or administrative experience. Great opportunity to grow in your career.

Job Description: Legal Assistant
Responsibilities
- Type, edit, file and compose correspondence, including cover letters and emails.
- Transcribe dictation and/or edits handwritten documents.
- Documents management and organization.
- Schedule court appearances and depositions, maintain attorney calendars
- Scan, upload and file all incoming mail
- Perform other duties as requested or assigned
- Answer phones and screen Attorney's phone calls
- General office duties; i.e. email, mailing, copying, scanning and filing
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook and Excel)
- Strong administrative and organizational skills; ability to prioritize tasks and juggle multiple priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and highly organized.
- Understanding of law office policies and legal documentation requirements.
Performance Requirements
- Should be reliable, exercise good judgement, work well with little to no supervision, trustworthy, and have excellent organizational skills.
- Should have the ability to multi-task, prioritize work assignments and be efficient and accurate.
- Must have interpersonal skills and willing to assume responsibility in a proactive manner, often without being asked to do a required task.
- Ability to proofread and perform editing (e.g. punctuation, grammar, and spelling skills) of routine law office correspondence and legal documents.
- Commitment to "getting things right the first time" and follow-through on tasks and responsibilities
