Summary

Red Mountain Group is looking for a Leasing Associate to assist in the overall leasing and marketing of retail properties to prospective & existing tenants. Our next Leasing Associate will have experience reading leases, understanding lease terms, and have a strong ability to proofread LOIs and other leasing documents. Additionally, our Leasing Associate will build relationships with tenants and brokers, as well as field calls, update marketing materials and coordinate e-blasts. Our Leasing Associate is part of a leasing team, reporting to our Senior VP of Leasing.


Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist in negotiation & procurement of new tenants and renewal of existing tenants by reviewing and negotiating LOI deal terms to final leases directly with tenants and/or their brokers.
  • Communicate and coordinate lease process and updates with management and legal team.
  • Canvas markets in surrounding areas to identify potential tenants, including cold calling prospects.
  • Procure and interview brokers, as needed, including negotiating commission agreements.
  • Travel to properties within portfolio for site tours/inspections. Portfolio includes properties throughout the United States.
  • Draft, proofread, finalize and track LOI’s and internal leasing approval documents.
  • Field Crexi, Loopnet and sign calls on vacancies.
  • Monitor and update expiration reports to pro-actively reach out tenants.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school; 1-2 years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Understanding of retail leasing process.
  • Strong ability to proofread leasing documents.
  • Strong ability to build relationships and communicate effectively both written and verbally.
  • Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Desired: Working knowledge of Yardi or similar software.
  • Desired: Working knowledge of SalesForce, CoStar, Crexi, Loopnet or similar software.
