Job Summary
The Learning and Development Specialist plays a critical role in enhancing employee performance, engagement, and adaptability. This position focuses on delivering effective training, creating learning materials, and supporting organizational change initiatives related to the move into a new hospital tower.
Job Responsibilities
New Team Member Orientation:
- Conduct engaging and informative orientation sessions for new hires.
- Create a conversational virtual environment for new team members to celebrate their arrival, create a sense of belonging and ensure understanding of the mission, vision and values.
- Support administrative tasks supporting a successful orientation as needed.
- Develop high-quality training materials, including presentations, e-learning modules, and job aids.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Tailor content to meet the specific needs of different roles within the healthcare system.
- Assist in managing the transition to the new hospital tower.
- Provide training and resources to help employees adapt to changes in processes, technology, and physical environment.
- Address employee concerns and promote a positive attitude toward the transition.
- Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, surveys, and performance metrics.
- Make necessary adjustments to improve learning outcomes.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in learning and development.
- For Hire: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience in designing and delivering training programs.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
