Lead QA Automation Consultant

Job Description

We currently have a career opportunity for a Lead QA Automation Consultant to join our team located in Livonia, MI. Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of experience in QA practice with a heavy emphasis on Automation frameworks and script creation. A coding exercise will be part of the interview process. This is a hybrid role with some time spent at our Livonia office or at a customer site.

Responsibilities

• Identify Test strategy and document strategy, test plans
• Create manual/automated test scripts by leveraging requirements documentations, wireframes, and comps.
• Define Automation strategy and document automation solution and approach
• Participate in standing team meetings
• Contribute to weekly status reports, interact with clients and vendors as needed
• Troubleshoot and track defects
• Build trusted client relationships through proactive account management and effective project delivery
• Establishes knowledge of client business challenges and priorities to translate into opportunities
• Maintains regular client communication and satisfaction, ensuring opportunities and challenges are addressed in a timely manner.
• Contributes to project discoveries, kickoff, prepare proposals and statements of work following company standards.
• Assists project team to establish high, mid, and micro level plans for project team.
• Provides leadership throughout the lifecycles of a project, guiding the understanding the project team has through design and development to ensure project requirements are met
• Helps establish project test strategy, methodologies, test plans as well as assist with test execution.
• Coordinate with multiple teams and drive QA activities
  
  

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software testing experience
• 5+ years of experience developing test automation frameworks
• STRONG Automation experience using Selenium, and writing automation scripts in Java, TestNG, BDD framework
• Strong experience with Web Services automation tools using Postman and Rest Assured
• Experience with Version control like Git, BitBucket
• Experience with continuous testing tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions
• Familiar with JIRA or similar defect tracking tool
• Ability to read code and participate in code reviews
• Knowledge of the technical stack in an n-tier application and the ability to identify different types of testing that can be applied in each tier
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to analyze business requirements and technical design documents
  
  

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $73,008 to $120,640. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
