Responsible for implementing targeted support to campuses in the core content areas.Lead Instructional Coaches interface and collaborate with teachers, administrators, Academic Services and School Leadership to create educational equity through a comprehensive support system for teachers and teacher leaders. This role includes providing direct content, pedagogy, data analysis and instructional coaching support to Title 1 campuses to improve teacher effectiveness and student outcomes. Lead Instructional Coaches support an assigned Executive Director and/or region to ensure curriculum alignment vertically and horizontally within a feed pattern or across a region to foster accelerated student achievement, instructional capacity building for teachers, and leadership capacity building for teacher leaders.

Coaching/Professional Development
- Represent the district’s instructional philosophy and frameworks in all aspects of the position to include professional development, coaching, and curriculum support.
- Model and provide targeted feedback to campus content team members on coaching methodology and content related to the district’s instructional program and student achievement.
- Implement coaching cycles and strategies effectively, such as Cognitive Coaching and Content-focused Coaching, etc.
- Provide feedback to teachers and campus instructional leadership teams around instruction that facilitates reflection and growth.
- Provide feedback to campus instructional coaches on delivery and content.
- Provide content area expertise and strengthen content knowledge and coaching skills to improve instructional practices.
- Develop, present and implement campus and district professional development to teachers, campus instructional leadership teams and other district staff as needed to include evening and weekends.
- Use data to assist action/improvement plan development.
- Utilize district and campus data to make informed decisions regarding focus and content of professional development.
- Model and facilitate a variety of formative assessment methods for data-driven instruction.
- Coordinate data findings with focus of work to include campus selection for services.
- Support a viable and purposeful district curriculum.
- Facilitate use of research-based content resources and strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues, Academic Services and School Leadership to support effective curriculum implementation.
- Utilize strategies to include but not limited to instructional models, resources, and coaching to deepen instructional practices.
- Facilitate and support professional learning community meetings and other teacher content meetings.
- Keep abreast of and support district transformation and innovation school models/programs as assigned.

- Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited university in a directly related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Valid Texas Teaching certification preferred: Elementary generalist or concentration in ELA, Math or Science preferred/Secondary certification in a subject area (ELA/MATH/Science/Social Studies) preferred
- Demonstrate strong content knowledge.
- Demonstrate ability to work and communicate with diverse audience.
- Demonstrate excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Oracle.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills in the use of technology as a resource within the instructional program.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational, written and oral communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and provide professional development to adult learners.
- Ability to work independently and serve multiple grade levels.
