Lead Power Apps Consultant

AVER is seeking a Lead Power Apps Consultant, an individual contributor who will manage automation projects within a directorate of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Responsibilities Include:

• Self-motivated individual contributor who will manage automation projects to include working knowledge of Power Apps and Power BI platforms
• Partner with business SME’s and stakeholders to understand business challenges and requirements
• Establish and lead enterprise-wide, cross functional strategic initiatives
• Lead a variety of different types of projects including launching new products and services, large-scale application development, systems integration, operational efficiency improvements, process reengineering, and infrastructure upgrades and deployments
• Support continuous improvement plans
• Plan, schedule, coordinate, and monitor all phases of the project
• Manage scope of the project to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed parameters
• Define and track project milestones and report upwards for escalation
• Ability to work in complex business scenarios and in a cross functional team setting
• Support various business functional stakeholders to achieve the highest benefit on projects
• Self-directed with little instruction on day-to-day work and general instructions on new assignments
  
  

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree required
  
  

Experience Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience with Power Apps automation
• 3+ years of experience supporting the Federal government to implement automation projects
• Experience with managing automation projects using Power Apps
• Experience working with project management tools and ability to navigate quality gates for release of projects
• Ability to use MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Project

• Certification in project management
• Exposure to new tools & technology on the Microsoft platform
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate cross-functionally with a desire to work as part of a global team
• Strong work ethic, adaptive, able to meet tight deadlines without much supervision

Security Requirements:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance (Public Trust)
