Summary
The successful candidate will be focused on developing new partnerships and expanding business relationships with current and prospective customers. The candidate will be responsible for selling new and existing products, supplies and instrumentation to Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Clinical, Production and other research-based accounts. This individual will be responsible for meeting company goals and revenue targets by using a dedicated and consultative selling approach. Must live in the Los Angeles, Ca metropolitan area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including the following. Other duties may be assigned.
The candidate must be able to understand a customer's technical requirements in order to provide solutions that meet expectations. Effective communication skills are required for customer and product management, product presentations and customer support. The successful candidate will manage all sales activities within a defined territory and work with other members of the regional team.

- Expand existing customer relationships through consultative selling techniques.
- Manage customer relationships and ensure customer success
- Effectively present company capabilities and how they meet customer challenges and company goals
- Have meaningful conversations with customers to understand challenges and the financial impact of those challenges on the organization
- Present solutions and financial impacts to all levels of the customer organization that meet the operational and scientific challenges
- Develop new partnerships with customers
- Support groups or community programs that help to develop scientific methods
- Conduct regular business reviews with customers and present KPI reports
- Reach out to new prospects and develop relationships with customers
- Enhance brand recognition, competitiveness, and profitability
- Reply in both a prompt and professional manner to inquiries and requests
- Meet individual objectives and revenue goals for the assigned territory
- Prospect for new business within target market segments
- Provide competitive intelligence, market insight, changes in customer needs/preferences, purchasing trends, and marketing effectiveness information to internal stakeholders in Management, Marketing, Product Management, etc. on a consistent basis
- Attend industry conferences, networking events, tradeshows, etc. periodically
- Present products, workflow solutions and services to customers
- Develop relationships with new and existing customers, promote new and existing products/services while maintaining a competitive edge in the market

- Outgoing, energetic self-starter
- Passionate about serving customers
- Effective Questioning Skills to understand customers’ needs
- Dedicated to providing prompt responses
- BS in Life Sciences or related field or greater
- Prior Sales Experience, in Life Science preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively employ team-based selling strategies
- Experience with MS Office - Teams, Microsoft Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of a CRM such as Salesforce, ACT, Sugar, etc.
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs with a good pair of shoes!
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to 'close' opportunities
- Must reside in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
