Role Description
This is a part-time hybrid role for a Lab Director at Sunshine Clinical Lab, LLC. located in New Port Richey, FL, with flexibility for some remote work. The Lab Director will be responsible for overseeing all laboratory testing and operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, managing staff and resources, and maintaining quality control measures. The Lab Director will also collaborate with healthcare providers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely test results, and contribute to the development and implementation of laboratory policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Valid state licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Director
Strong knowledge of laboratory best practices, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements (CLIA, CAP, etc.)
Experience in managing laboratory operations and personnel
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Proficiency in laboratory information systems and related software
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field
Master's degree is preferred
Additional certifications (e.g., ASCP, AMT) are a plus
