Junior West Scheduler

Job Summary:

Mercuria Energy Americas is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior West Scheduler to join our dynamic team in Houston. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in natural gas scheduling and be eager to contribute to the optimization of our West region operations. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule and manage the daily operations of natural gas transportation in the West region.
• Coordinate with traders, marketers, and pipeline companies to ensure timely and accurate gas deliveries.
• Monitor and manage imbalances, nominations, and capacity constraints.
• Assist in the development and implementation of scheduling strategies to optimize delivery and reduce costs.
• Prepare and analyze reports on scheduling activities, identifying areas for improvement.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pipeline tariffs, rules, and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in natural gas scheduling or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other scheduling software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
