Description: As a Junior Software Developer, this individual will primarily assist in the design, development, testing and maintenance of software applications, respective projects, and other closely related objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborates with the design team to execute the development of new user interfaces.
Prioritize, diagnose, debug, and resolve problems occurring on live websites.
Transition B2B tools from jQuery+HTML to React framework.
Develop and maintain internal tools such as file parsers and custom data tables along with their user interfaces.
Participate in the implementation of Marketing Tech projects and provide ongoing support for existing tools like GTM, GA4, and monitoring pageviews and events.
Stay updated with the latest technologies, tools, and industry trends to enhance technical skills and improve software development practices.
Demonstrate flexibility in adapting to new tasks, projects, and changes in priorities, maintaining a positive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.
Keeps supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems and related information necessary for effective management. Coordinates and communicates plans and activities with others, as appropriate to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach.
Performs related work as apparent or assigned.
Attends training as directed by GNE.
What you will bring to the table:
Required
0-3 years of experience in software engineering.
Proficient in crafting modern user interfaces using HTML and CSS.
Proficiency in JavaScript and familiarity with at least one framework such as React, Vue, or Angular (React expertise preferred).
Demonstrated proficiency in software development showcased through personal projects or a portfolio.
Possess strong organizational skills and a curious mindset to explore new technologies and methodologies.
Exhibit a genuine passion for software craftsmanship and a desire to continuously improve skills.
Ability to thrive in environments with ambiguity, demonstrating adaptability and resilience.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Enthusiastic about taking on diverse responsibilities within a mid-sized company, with mentorship and guidance.
Willingness to learn and work across the entire web stack, including front end, back end, databases, and DevOps.
Eagerness to enhance technical skills and stay updated with industry advancements.
Preferred
Strong vanilla JavaScript skills
Strong understanding of static types
Travel: Minimal travel to company headquarters is required.
