Junior Project Manager

Apex Systems is looking for a Jr. Project Manager to join a growing client in Greenwood Village, CO.

Onsite Requirement: 3 days per week onsite

Skills required:

• 1+ years of professional experience as a Project Manager or Project Coordinator for software development or software engineering projects
• Jira and Confluence experience
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and emotional intelligence
• Strong written and documentation skills
• Strong ability and willingness to learn new things
• Prior technical or development experience is a PLUS!
• High level knowledge of AWS and Data Engineering would be beneficial

Day-to-day responsibilities:

• This position will join the Data Platforms team that is responsible for building robust, scalable reporting and analytics solutions. The team provides recurring production reports and in-depth analyses on all new and existing products, features, and enhancements that are deployed to 30 million customers.
• Join a team that manages an end-to-end pipeline from data ingestions, aggregations, optimizations, and monitoring to report development, statistical analysis, data science, and presentation of findings.
• Partner with Data Governance team to manage and update status on data pipelines
• Transfer and update documentation into internal team page
• Meet with varying stakeholders and technical teams for status updates
• Gather requirements and track progress
• Responsible for overall coordination, status reporting and stability of project oriented work efforts.
• Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies for the engineering teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations.
• Responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality review; and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately.
• Responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers.
• Coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk and resources of the work effort being managed.
• Assists Project Manager in partnering with senior management of the business community to identify and prioritize opportunities for the projects being supported.
