About You
With a future focused on growth within Wakefern, we are looking for a Junior Accountant to add to our dynamic team within a rewarding environment that is focused on professional development through business opportunities. The responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
Demonstrate an understanding of recurring general ledger entries, accruals, depreciation, AP/AR monitoring, GL account reconciliations
Understanding of GAAP & its applications in these activities
Heavily involved month and quarter end close process.
Demonstrate a working knowledge of & willingness to abide by internal control procedures
Understand expense accounts and cost centers
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred with a concentration in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance
Strong time management, multi-tasking and organization skills
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent computer skills on MS Office.
Willingness to learn and take on new tasks and responsibilities
